Join us for the soft launch of the popular We Are South LA Exhibit, which made its debut at this year's Kingdom Day Freedom Festival last January. The exhibit is a critical reflection of the multifaceted journeys of Black and Brown people throughout the 20th Century.
Beginning with a historical timeline that includes the forced migration and immigration of people from the deep South of the US and the global South, We Are South LA seeks to capture the sprit, struggle and joy of the progression of peoples to find their home.
We are hosting this open house for residents to get a closer look at the exhibit's installations and hoping that they will dive deeper into conversations around what makes South LA home. Don't miss out, space is limited!
